Whether we realize it or not, we are a product of our up bringing. The music we listening to, the clothing we wear, our political views… right down to the food we eat.
Whenever I head back to Houston I eat the foods that made me feel happy. I have to have my Tex-Mex, my BBQ, and if I’m lucky, a What-A-Burger. For some reason that food tasted better in Texas.
Now… MOST of us are creatures of habit. We buy the same foods from the same grocery store, prepare the same recipes over and over, and live within our own familiar routines. The thing to do is to make this work in your favor. Because if you’re serious about eating healthier and losing weight, you need to shake it up, change those bad eating habits, and start thinking differently about your diet and lifestyle.
The problem is that we get so comfortable in our ways that it’s hard to give up those old habits. According to WedMD.
So, lets make small changes and start making those changes the new habits, and start focusing on CAN, not CAN’T.
Okay for me, I included a salad at every meal, that’s right, EVERY MEAL including breakfast!
Aside from their natural good taste and great crunchy texture alongside wonderful colors and fragrances, eating a serving of fresh, raw vegetables also keeps things moving, if you catch my drift.
Please understand that I can only tell you what is working for me at the moment and I’m still trying to make it a “Lifestyle” change. I have dropped quite a bit of weight just by making small changes. Stay tuned for more tidbits. #hermansway #healthyroadwarrior
